Mercedes Hazen is a master’s student studying Agricultural Communications. Originally from Capitan, New Mexico, where she was actively involved in 4-H and FFA, showing livestock, and competing in rodeos. Mercedes spent most of her childhood on a ranch, where her passion for agriculture started. Mercedes earned her bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Business in May 2025. She has always been passionate about the agricultural industry and standing up for what she believes. Her hobbies include making freshies, playing pickleball, and making sourdough bread. Mercedes especially values spending time with her family and is grateful for continuous support.
